The company was started on 2018/01/15 AD, registered under the name “Sonoco Production”, and began selling detergent powder from Nepalgunj-1, Dhamboji. As time passed, sales and distribution increased. After restructuring the business, it was registered on 2019/05/3 AD as “Sonoco Production Pvt. Ltd.” in Khajura-3, Banke, and formally began the sale and distribution of detergent powder and dishwash soap. Because operating under the same name of company caused confusion and problems in the market, the company changed its name again on 2022/02/20 AD to “Sonoco Soap Industries Pvt. Ltd.” It is now being actively operated from its own company building at its permanent office in Khajura-4, Banke, with its head office located at Surya Darshan Height, Tokha-3, Kathmandu.
